relatively deep wells, when cable and borehole equipment weight do not allow to perform convenient and safe operations.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Even with a borehole depth of 100 m, a standard coaxial cable with a 10-mm<sup>2<\/sup> cross section will weigh several tens of kilograms. At depths of several hundred meters, the use of a power cable with a large cross section of the core is required to balance the energy loss due to the ohmic resistance &#8211; it is only possible to work with such a cable using a BGW winch.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Depending on the acquisition type, BGW can be equipped with high-voltage or low-voltage multicore slip rings to ensure the operation of the borehole sparker <a href=\"https:\/\/geodevice.co\/product\/pulse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pulse<\/a> or borehole hydrophone (<a href=\"https:\/\/geodevice.co\/product\/wellstreamer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WellStreamer<\/a>) and geophone (<a href=\"https:\/\/geodevice.co\/product\/gstreamer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GStreamer<\/a>) arrays. A powerful electric gear motor allows adjusting the speed of the winch drum rotation and fix the equipment at the desired depth. In case of a power cutoff, manual winch operations can be performed.
